Frequently Asked Questions

Patterns

What sizes are your patterns?

Our PDF patterns include 13 sizes. We use an alphabet sizing system (sizes A-M) but these are approximately equivalent to US 6-30 / UK 4-28 / EUR 34-58. Bust measurements range from 80-144cm and waist measurements range from 58-122cm.

The Time Capsule Wardrobe book includes gridded patterns in 3 sizes: UK 10, 18, 26 / US 8, 16, 24 / EUR 38, 46, 54. The first chapter of the book includes instructions for scaling up the patterns and grading between sizes.

As we're sure you're aware, size charts can vary massively between brands! We always recommend checking the size chart on your pattern rather than choosing your typical size. You can find size charts and finished garment measurement charts on the listing pages for each of our patterns.

How can I access my PDF pattern?

Your PDF patterns will be automatically emailed to you. These are sent through the website, so they'll go to whichever email address you used on the website checkout.

PDF patterns are also be accessible through the website under the "profile" tab. On mobile you can find this at the bottom of the menu (click "log in"), on web you can find it by clicking the icon at the top right. Find your order on the profile page, then click "access content". You'll be able to download your files from this page.

Can I buy individual patterns?

Yes! All the designs from the Time Capsule Wardrobe collection are now available as PDF patterns. You can purchase any of the designs individually, or purchase a digital bundle with all 7 patterns.

You can find them all on the shop page.

Are your patterns metric (cm) or imperial (in)?

Our patterns use metric measurements (cm) for the size charts and seam allowances.

Do your patterns include layers?

Yes! As of August 2026, all the PDF patterns on this website have been updated to include layered pattern files.

Need help with a pattern?

Check out our blog for tutorials about common problems, such as sewing curved seams, grading the patterns, and alternative sewing techniques.

You can also find tutorial videos for some of the patterns on our YouTube channel, which walk you through the whole sewing process.

If your problem isn't covered, feel free to reach out using the contact form at the bottom of the page. I'll do my best to answer your question (and maybe turn it into a blog post to help future sewists!)

Shipping

Where do you ship from?

Piprek Patterns is based in the UK, and all orders are shipped from the UK.

Are taxes and tariffs included?

A handful of countries allow us to prepay the import duties while purchasing shipping labels, for these countries the taxes & tariffs are included in the shipping price:

  • UK
  • USA
  • Germany
  • France

For all other countries, taxes & tariffs are not included. Your order may be subject to import VAT and customs duties, these will be collected from you by the mail carrier when the parcel arrives in your country.

You are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees, whether collected at checkout or upon delivery.

How can I track my order?

Once your package is dispatched, you'll receive an email with your tracking number. You can use this number to track your order through Royal Mail here.

I think my order is lost

Once the package arrives in your country, it is handed over to your local mail service. Theoretically it should continue to be tracked, but sometimes the tracking can appear "stuck" and stop updating. If this happens, don't panic - most likely it's still on it's way. Please try tracking the order through your countries national post service (USPS, Canada Post, Australia Post, etc.), as they may have more information.

If you believe your package is lost, you'll need to wait 10 days after the estimated delivery date - Royal Mail does not consider it lost before this. If 10 days have passed, please email me at info@PiprekPatterns.com so I can resolve this with the shipping company and arrange a replacement.

Is there a digital version that doesn't require shipping?

Yes! All the designs from the Time Capsule Wardrobe collection are now available as PDF patterns. You can purchase any of the designs individually, or purchase a digital bundle with all 7 patterns.

You can find them all on the shop page.

Where are the Edith skirt and Lillian corset patterns?

My two earliest sewing patterns are not currently available through this website, but you can still find them on my KoFi shop.

I'd like to add them to this website in the future, but I'm planning to update them first – right now they don't match my current size chart and the instructions have a very different style.

Do you sell the custom printed fabric?

The floral design that's used throughout the book and on for the Georgian Polonaise Dress sample was custom designed for the project by Laura Tolton.

This fabric is currently not available for purchase. We wanted to get extra fabric printed and offer it for sale, but unfortunately there have been so many changes to international shipping rules in the last few months that it hasn't felt feasible. I'm hoping to revisit the idea in 2027.

Do you sell finished garments?

No, we do not currently sell ready-to-wear garments.

Do you do custom orders or commissions?

No, I am not currently accepting commissions or custom orders.
